Maple Butter with Pecans (Honey Butter)

A sweet butter that pairs well with cornbread and dinner rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup (use honey as a substitution)
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pecans

Instructions

  • Toast pecans in a 350℉ oven for 5 minutes
  • Chop the toasted pecans
  • Add butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, and pecans to a bowl and mix
  • Ready to serve

Notes

  • I use salted butter. If you want your butter less salty, use unsalted butter and add salt to taste. 
  • For the best flavor, use real butter.
  • Use 100% real maple syrup. Don’t use high-fructose corn syrup.
  • Use honey in place of maple syrup to make honey butter.
